Building communities, bite by bite.
The LoVVe Project
Culturally relevant solutions to food insecurity
Our mission is to combat food scarcity and promote health and well-being by ensuring access to nutritious food and essential hygiene supplies. We bring neighbors together with the shared goal of building community and supporting each other through difficult times.
Filling a critical gap, we provide fresh and culturally relevant food choices to the families we serve. Focusing on southeast Denver, every month we support thousands of people at Ellis and McMeen Elementary Schools. Collectively we reach more than 1,600 people every month.
Food is dignity
Food is more than nourishment. It ties us to the places we come from and the ones we love. That’s why we pride ourselves on providing culturally appropriate foods and free choice for families wherever possible, going beyond the bare minimum to create events with dignity and joy.
Community is power
We are dedicated to fostering resilience through collaborative partnerships that empower individuals and families to thrive. Our team is as diverse as the communities we serve. We speak English, Spanish, and Arabic with partners from Mexico, Venezuela, Libya, Nepal, and many others.
“Thank you for the snacks for our class. Thank you for being generous with us. Having a snack every day helps me to learn and work hard in school.”

Donations from community members - especially reoccuring monthly contributions - provide predictable income that helps us to effectively plan and budget. Will you give what you can today?
